The book has three sections :

1.  Protest, highlighting Japanese protest photography movement of the 1960s.

2. Provoke, partially reproducing the magazine’s three issues along with writings and images by the founding members – photographers Takuma Nakahira and Yakata Takanashi, writer Takahiko Okada, and critic Koji Taki, with the later addition of Daido Moriyama.

3. Performance, highlighting the performance-based art in Japan from the 1950s to the 1970s.

Each section contains reproductions of publication spreads, photographic portfolios, ephemera, and essays and interviews by the artists and critics.
