In this volume, the alliance between the two meanings of "soundings" the act of emitting sound, or interpreting, and the act of plumbing the depths, or exploring offers the creation of an entirely new architectural language, one concerned with geometry, space, and time. Hejduk renews architecture's vocabulary through an extensive working and reworking of its most basic forms.
