ROGER MINICK | Delta West: The land and people of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta
- Description
- Details
These photographs and stories feel so much further in the past than they are. Each page is a surprising narrative of this pre-industrialization agricultural California landscape and its rugged residents from another world of the late 60's.
Edition of 3000 copies. Minick's first photography project and book. Series of 63 finely printed black & white photos accompanied by commentary from residents. Both recorded by Roger Minick from 1966-1969 in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta.
Dust jacket has closed tears at spine corners. Light wear and soiling on back cover. Bottom corner of board is notched. Pages are clean and crisp. Very Good.
"Sixty-three magnificent photographs by Roger Minick, a tribute to the land and people of the Delta. With commentary by residents of the area, as taped in the field by the photographer, and historical essay by Dave Bohn - from the Spanish to the building of the levees, with notes and bibliography." from the dust jacket flap
