Siza invited Ferreria Alves to photograph the 1973 house Casa Beires, which on first impression seems to be an "unphotographable house" because it has been nearly hidden by vegetation. Alves approached the project "not as a ruin, but as a house inhabited by successive generations who left there strange objects, various furnishings, surprising bric-a-brac."
